The Battle is over: Jolie & Pitt finally Divorced!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have officially ended their divorce battle. After eight long years, the Hollywood icons reached a settlement. Jolie’s lawyer confirmed the news late Monday night, bringing an end to one of the messiest splits in celebrity history.

The Split That Shook Hollywood

The drama started back in 2016 when Jolie filed for divorce. She and her kids left all the shared properties with Pitt, focusing on moving forward. “Angelina has been seeking peace and healing for her family ever since,” said James Simon of Hersh Mannis, Jolie’s attorney. “This is just one chapter of a much longer process. Frankly, she’s exhausted but relieved.”

Pitt Stays Silent

Brad Pitt’s legal team stayed silent, refusing to comment on the settlement. But the story of Brangelina is far from forgotten. The couple, who met on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” were Hollywood royalty. They tied the knot in 2014 after years of dating. By then, they had already earned the nickname “Brangelina” and were one of the most famous power couples in the world.

Their marriage didn’t last long. Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The split quickly turned nasty. The couple’s six children, now aged 16 to 23, became central to their legal battles.

In 2019, the court granted them a “bifurcated judgment.” This meant they were legally single but still not fully divorced. The drama continued in courtrooms and tabloids alike.

Accusations and Counterclaims

In 2018, Jolie accused Pitt of not paying “meaningful child support” since their separation. Pitt fired back, claiming Jolie was twisting the narrative. He revealed he had loaned her $8 million and covered $1.3 million in bills. Jolie’s team shot back, saying the loan didn’t count as child support.

The accusations didn’t stop there. In 2022, Jolie made shocking claims against Pitt. She accused him of physical and verbal abuse during a flight in 2016. According to court filings, Pitt allegedly choked one of their kids during a heated argument. Jolie said this incident was the final straw that led her to file for divorce.

Pitt’s Defense

Pitt’s lawyer denied the allegations, insisting he had taken responsibility for his actions. “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for,” said the attorney. “But he won’t admit to things he didn’t do.”

Authorities investigated the flight incident in 2016. The FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services both looked into the claims. In the end, no charges were filed against Pitt, and the case was closed.

A New Chapter Begins

Now, with the settlement reached, both stars can finally move on. But their high-profile split will remain etched in Hollywood history. From their glamorous beginnings to their bitter end, the Brangelina saga captivated fans and dominated headlines.

What’s Next for Jolie and Pitt?

As the dust settles, the focus shifts back to their kids and their individual futures. Jolie, now 49, continues to prioritize her family and humanitarian work. Pitt, 61, remains one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors. Both have a chance to close this painful chapter and look ahead.
