I’m currently staring at my third espresso trying to figure out if I’m watching a romantic comedy or a very expensive insurance commercial. Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton sitting together at Super Bowl LX is the kind of calculated chaos that only a Kris Jenner spreadsheet could produce. They looked perfect, sure, but perfection is usually the first sign of a setup.
Levi’s Stadium was buzzing, but it wasn’t because of the game. It was the sight of the Skims mogul cozying up to the Ferrari-bound F1 legend in a VIP suite that had everyone dropping their hot dogs. We’ve been hearing the whispers since Paris, but this public display of affection felt less like love and more like a brand merger.
Lewis is about to start his life with Ferrari, and if you know anything about the Tifosi, you know they don’t play about distractions. A championship-starved team doesn’t want their lead driver appearing in an episode of a reality show about salad bowls and sibling rivalries. Hamilton has spent years curating a legacy of focus and social justice, which doesn’t exactly mesh with the Kardashian brand of “look at my new private jet.” Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton different lifestyles.
The logistics alone are a nightmare for any actual relationship between Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton. Lewis lives out of a suitcase on the global F1 circuit, and Kim has four children and a multi-billion dollar empire rooted in Calabasas. This isn’t a couple that’s going to be arguing over what to watch on Netflix on a Tuesday night. This is a couple that coordinates their schedules three years in advance via executive assistants.
Let’s be real for a second. Kim has a type, and that type is “world-class athlete who provides a major PR pivot.” After the Kanye era and the Pete Davidson palate cleanser, she needs someone with undisputed “main character” energy who doesn’t come with a 3 a.m. Twitter rant. Lewis fits the bill perfectly, but that doesn’t mean he’s the one.
History tells us that these pairings are more about the “hard launch” than the long haul. Remember when we all thought she was going to be an NFL wife with Odell Beckham Jr.? That evaporated the moment the cameras stopped flashing. Lewis is a trophy for Kim’s social standing, and Kim is a massive American audience boost for Lewis as he enters the twilight of his career.
While they were laughing during the halftime show, the cynical side of me couldn’t help but notice the timing. Kim is currently navigating a sea of brand fatigue, and Lewis is trying to keep the vibes high before the grueling 2026 season kicks off. Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton are using each other to stay at the center of the conversation without actually having to do much of anything.
There is no “step-dad” energy coming from Lewis Hamilton. He is a man who loves his dog, Roscoe, and his privacy. Bringing the paparazzi circus into his life on a permanent basis would be the biggest unforced error of his career. He’s used to high-speed turns, but the Kardashian turn cycle is a different beast entirely.

Don’t expect to see Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton picking out china patterns anytime soon. Once the F1 season starts and the Super Bowl headlines fade, Lewis will be in a cockpit in Bahrain and Kim will be back to posting mirror selfies to sell shapewear. This is a seasonal romance with a very specific expiration date.
Do you think Lewis Hamilton is actually ready for the Kardashian circus, or is he just enjoying the ride while it lasts? Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton – do they have a future?
