Elon Musk’s special bond with his Mini-Musk

Billionaire Elon Musk has a special relationship—not with Donald Trump, but with his four-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii. The boy, simply called X, is always by his father’s side. This week, Musk proudly took X to the Oval Office.

X’s Unforgettable White House Moment

Trump introduced X as a “high IQ individual.” But the little boy proved to be just a normal four-year-old. He interrupted Trump mid-speech, saying, “Excuse me, but I need to pee.” Later, he demanded, “I want you to shush your mouth.”

Dressed in a thick gold chain and camel coat, X made himself at home. He even wiped his nose on the historic Resolute desk.

A Non-Negotiable Presence in Musk’s Life

Musk’s biographer, Walter Isaacson, confirms that X has been part of Musk’s entourage since birth. “X had an otherworldly sweetness that calmed and beguiled Musk,” he wrote.

Musk believes his son is a genius. He proudly recalls that X’s first words were “car, rocket, and daddy.” The little boy has attended rocket launches, high-profile meetings, and even late-night parties.

Growing Up in the Spotlight

X is no stranger to the public eye. In 2021, he sat on Musk’s lap when Time magazine named his father Person of the Year. In 2023, he accompanied Musk to a meeting with Turkish President Erdogan. By 2024, he was partying at New York’s Lobster Club in a Tesla T-shirt.

By the end of 2023, X was living with Musk at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. Trump even included him in private messages to Musk. “We miss you and X!” he posted on Truth Social.

A Family Torn Apart

X is one of three children Musk had with Canadian singer Grimes. The other two reportedly live with her. Grimes has accused Musk of keeping X away from her, but Musk has not responded to these claims.

After X’s Oval Office visit, Grimes posted, “He should not be in public like this… But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

Musk’s Complex Parenting History

Musk has 13 children with four different women. His first son, Nevada, died of sudden infant death syndrome in 2002. Another child, born Xavier, transitioned to Vivian and cut ties with Musk, calling him “cold, quick to anger, and narcissistic.

Isaacson says Musk is not a warm father but craves his children’s presence. “He told me he’s never sadder than when his kids don’t want to hang around him.”

Grimes vs. Musk: A Battle for Custody

Grimes and Musk had a rocky relationship. They split in 2022 after the birth of their third child, Techno Mechanicus (Tau). That same year, Musk secretly fathered twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.

Grimes later sued for custody of all three children. She accused Musk of keeping X while she fought a costly legal battle in Texas. Musk, in turn, sued to establish parental rights over their children.

In a heartbreaking social media post, Grimes revealed the toll it took on her. “The threat of losing your kids while going bankrupt fighting for them is not conducive to creative thoughts,” she wrote.

What’s Next for X?

For now, X remains with Musk. When asked about the boy’s mother, Musk told Erdogan, “She’s back in California. I mostly look after him.

X’s life remains in the spotlight, and it’s clear Musk sees him as more than just a son—he’s a protege. Whether Grimes will regain custody remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: X is an irreplaceable part of Musk’s world.
