It finds inspiration in the most unexpected places. “I took bits of threads, buttons, and so on from a seamstress’s garbage can and glued them to a mule,” he explains. “24 hours in the life of a woman in a shoe factory in Vigevano. And since it was from a garbage can, I called it ‘Trash.’”
