I have been in this industry for a very long time myself. I know about all these ‘open’ secrets, everybody knows, everybody talks about it, but no one speaks up. So many cases don’t surprise me, especially because I myself had situations with certain people. So no surprise with Weinstein, Diddy, Jay-Z,…….
In this case, it is such a typical behavior. First the accusation is weird. ‘Emotional distress’?! If you already make accusations , be clear, what was it? And I agree with many people online, it is so typical, because the movie bombed, she was horrible in the film, the promoting in the movie was not all about her and how amazing she is, so it seems it’s now to justify it. Wouldn’t be the first one someone does that.
But let’s be honest, we will never know the truth.
Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her It Ends with Us costar and director Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and behavior that allegedly caused her “severe emotional distress.” According to the lawsuit, which was first reported by TMZ, the accusations include inappropriate conduct such as showing explicit content, discussing his past issues with pornography, making personal comments about Lively’s weight and family, and adding explicit scenes outside the agreed script. A meeting was held, attended by figures including Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, to address her concerns.
The lawsuit claims Sony Pictures supported Lively’s requests, but she alleges Baldoni retaliated by attempting to damage her reputation. In a statement to The New York Times, Lively expressed her hope that her legal action would expose and prevent similar retaliatory tactics against others who speak out against misconduct.
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has dismissed the allegations as “false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious,” suggesting the lawsuit is an attempt by Lively to salvage her reputation and blaming her for challenges during production and the film’s poor reception. Reports of on-set discord and Baldoni’s alleged difficult behavior surfaced earlier this year, with claims he created a hostile environment for the cast and crew.
The drama between Lively and Baldoni became apparent during the film’s press tour, where Baldoni appeared mostly solo and was notably absent from group photos with the cast. Speculation about tension was further fueled by Instagram activity, with key figures like Lively and Colleen Hoover reportedly not following Baldoni.
The movie, based on Hoover’s novel, follows Lively’s character Lily as she navigates an abusive relationship and a love triangle. While the film highlights themes of perseverance and hope, behind-the-scenes conflicts appear to have overshadowed its release.
