If you’re following the U.S. Women’s team through Europe this season, these are the “big three” stops that define the intersection of world-class sport and high-end lifestyle. Alpine Edit in all details.

1. Kranjska Gora, Slovenia (Jan 3–4, 2026)

  • The Event: The “Golden Fox” Giant Slalom and Slalom.
  • The Draw: This is Mikaela Shiffrin’s playground. She has dominated here for years. It’s less “flashy” than St. Moritz but incredibly authentic and picturesque.
  • The Vibe: Cozy Alpine chic. Think wood-fired saunas, Slovenian honey-liqueur, and the stunning backdrop of the Julian Alps.
  • Pro Tip Alpine Edit: Head to Lake Bled (just 30 mins away) for the ultimate Instagram moment at the island church after the races.

2. Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy (Jan 17–18 & Feb 6–22, 2026)

  • The Event: World Cup Speed events in Jan; The Winter Olympics in Feb.
  • The Draw: This is the “Queen of the Dolomites” and Lindsey Vonn’s spiritual home. It’s where she secured her Olympic qualification this month.
  • The Style: La Dolce Vita on ice. Cortina is about fur coats, afternoon Aperol Spritzes on the Corso Italia, and the world’s most dramatic pink-hued mountain peaks.
  • Apres-Ski Alpine Edit: Dinner at Rifugio Averau is a must—accessible only by ski or chairlift, it offers the best pasta with a view in the world.

3. Lillehammer, Norway (March 21–25, 2026)

  • The Event: The World Cup Finals.
  • The Draw: The season finale where the “Crystal Globes” (season trophies) are handed out.
  • The Vibe: Scandi-cool. This is where the “Sisterhood” of the U.S. team celebrates the end of the season.
  • The Look Alpine Edit: Sleek, minimalist performance wear and sustainable luxury. It’s the perfect spot to see the athletes “off-duty.”

  • The “Vonn” Comeback Aesthetic: We’re seeing a return to 70s-inspired “Jet Set” silhouettes—think belted ski suits and oversized gold-rimmed goggles.
  • The Shiffrin Tech-Vibe: Performance-meets-fashion. Sleek base layers that look just as good at the hotel bar as they do under a racing suit.
  • Must-Have Accessoryaccording to Alpine Edit: The Custom Knit Headband. The U.S. girls are often spotted in chunky, hand-knitted headbands between runs. It’s the easiest way to bring a bit of the “Ski Team” vibe to your winter wardrobe.

📅 Save the Date
